Our caring team

Everyone at CT Care is part of our carer team, from the office staff at the end of the phone, making sure all things are running smoothly and as they should, to our marvellous carers out in the community supporting our clients.

We understand that it is important to our clients that they see familiar faces and build a relationship with the carers working with them. We do our very best to ensure you get your regular carers as part of a small team. We don’t make unrealistic claims and we don’t promise what we can’t deliver.

“Many of our carers are local people, who have been with us for years and committed to enhancing their clients lives by going the extra mile.”

Working as part of a bigger team

We cannot work effectively on our own, so it is essential for all of us that we work with and alongside a host of other healthcare professionals. This includes the NHS, GP’s, District Nurse’s, Physio’s, Occupational Therapists, where we support our clients by implementing treatments and following medical advice given to them.

We also work with Leicestershire County Council and Northamptonshire County Council taking on packages of care they refer to us. Often these are people who have a specific need that haven’t previously been met elsewhere.

We can, when required, call on several known to us “locals” who can offer our clients a specialised service such as home alterations/adaptions, a handyman, and a gardener. We know they will do an excellent job – that’s why we call on them again and again.

Carer training

All new carers are carefully screened and only the best is selected. They all go through a rigorous recruitment process, which involves interviews, references, and a DBS check.

All carers undergo our mandatory training programme which involves both theory and practical modules. Only when they have completed this and been assessed that they will be an asset to our team do we permit them to work alongside an experienced carer before they are assessed as able to work independently.

All carers receive on-going mandatory training each year to keep them up to date, with current practice are assessed on a regular basis.
